Upgrade to SkyQ from a HD+ Box and a Sky Box

Hi.  I have had a letter from Sky to upgrade for free to Sky Q.  I have two Boxes, a Sky+HD in the main living area and a normal Sky Box in a bedroom.  With Sky Q can I upgrade so that I still have Sky in two rooms and would that cost a lot as well? Thank you

hi @Fanbase 

With SKy Q there are mini boxes for secondary boxes - you can't have 2 main boxes.

To use a mini box you need the multiscreen add on - I am not too sure how the multiroom add on compares cost wise to the old multiroom

you may benefit from reading some notes I have put together for people thinking of miving from SKY HD to SKY Q

@Fanbase I believe the standard free upgrade path from Sky+ includes a Mini box and Multiscreen (Whole Home) subscription, but do check with Sky.

@FanbaseCheck with Sky to see exactly what they are giving some people have got the non UHD 1TB box, fine if you don't care about UHD.

Also, as mentioned in my linked notes,  the non UHD boxes only support 1 active mini
