So I am paying an extra £10 per month for a new LNB?

@Dannyboy112

I haven't said that. If you've had a new discounted deal that will normally come with a one off admin charge as described above.

@Dannyboy112

A monthly increase would suggest a subscription change: £10 could be either be a discounted Multiscreen rate or an HD + UHD add-on, for example.

Re: Upgrade cost to sky q

All of the extra bits added to my Signature package were ok. What really got me annoyed was a text saying "rng this number for free installation". Something is wrong here. My visit is booked for 12 September so I have got time to sort it out.

@Dannyboy112 As mentioned, the increase in monthly payments is a subscription change and should be noted in your future bills in the MySky App (compare to previous bills).

The requirement to change the LNB is why you need an engineer visit.

That's probably an upsell: add Multiscreen and avoid an up-front cost because Sky makes it back through the additional subscription.

Re: Upgrade cost to sky q

Thank you all.

These kind of explanations are not given out by Customer Service. They simply ask for more money with a smile.

No more kind replies please - my inbox is getting too busy.

I will report back if I get any problems when the engineer will (?) arrive.

The job should be an extremely simple one.
