Unable to use catch up and on demand . All I get is message to upgrade

Changed to Sky Q box in last few months .  Have tried to use catch up and on demand , but all I get is a message to upgrade . Tried the troubleshooting , no joy.  Couldn't see videos in Help . 
would like to catch up on programmes I've missed especially with Christmas getting closer.

Do you have the HD add on - if not please note the following

The default download quality is set to HD (high Definition) not SD so if you don;t have the HD add on then when you try to download and watch you are prompted to upgrade (i.e. take out the HD subscription)

If this is the case you just need to change your download preference to SD
Main Menu -> Settings -> Setup -> Preferences

(Please note this setting can only be set on the Main box)

 

If you have the HD add on please advise
