Unable to upgrade to Paramount+ Premium - Error: MYSKY_2302

I've spent 1 hour on the phone so you don't have to.

This is aparently a known error for some people trying to upgrade Basic Paramount+ via the Sky Q box.  It is a known fault and seems to be a software error so will likely need a firmware update to rectify.

Annoying to have waited this long to be thwarted again.

Are there any workarounds

for the known  software problem that stops you upgrading paramount+ via the skyq box? Or commitment from sky to fix this.

Still not working for me.  Sky Q formware still unchanged for me.  I was waiting for this as that's what I was told.

If it updates and still not working I was going to contact them again.

Latest software is Q300.000.06.00L and still getting the same error so may be worth another call to Sky for more info when a fix may be available ?

Q300.000.06.00L is the same firmware as it was when the upgrade launched and the error was there.

If the update cost for the premium service is the same that everyone pays then why not update through the P+ website?

Looked at that  but as it's a sky q subscription there is no update option on the Paramount website unfortunately

Easiest way then is to either login using Sky's credentials or just create a new account with a alternative email address. That worked for me but might mean the Sky app version isn't updated but then it is better to use the tv's own app if possible.

If you take a new subscription with Paramount you'll not get the £4.99 a month discount you would do through upgrading here.

Thanks. How long does it normally take for the roll out to complete? Can the update be forced in the settings or does it have to be allocated to my account first?

@Evil+Dan it can take over a month to update all theboxes sometimes longer you could try updating the softwart to see if its on general release Sky tend to put it on the DR stream towards the end of the roll out

Well this is a fun wait.  Apparently there are now 2 current firmwares but I'm still stuck on 3.06 and the error remains.

This is ridiculous that the bug has not been fixed for those affected.
