Unable to pair 2 Sky Q Remotes to new tv

I recently bought a new Philips 55OLED909. Previously I was able to pair 2 Sky Q remotes to my tv and Sky Q box. One of the Sky Q remotes will pair with my tv and Sky Q box but not the other older one without voice control. (My new Philips 55OLED909 is not in the Sky list of tvs but using the settings for the previous model, 55OLED908 works). Sky have sent me a new Sky Q remote which will pair to my tv and Sky Q box but whilst one remote is able to control all functions on the tv and Sky Q box, the other will only control the volume and nothing else. Resetting the remote and going through the pairing process works to restore all the functions on the remote which only controlled the volume but causes the other remote that was fully working now to only control the volume. I have shut down and restarted my Sky Q box, I have done factory resets on both remotes (7+9), tried pairing one as an IR only remote (4+6) but nothing I do will allow both remotes to work with all functions at the same time. My set up also includes a speaker system that uses a Yamaha RX-A2060. The fully functioning Sky Q remote controls the volume on this but nothing on the other remote. Any ideas what the issue here is and how I can have two fully paired and working Sky remotes?

@Jon+Falkner Can you humour me and repeat the process but after pairing the  first remote (the one to be used in IR mode),

stop at each stage & test

i.e.

1) check that it fully works in bluetooth mode before setting to IR only (check voice commands work to prove Bluetooth connection)

2) set to IR only pressing the 6 & 9 and now test again it works whilst pointing at the box

3) test again by trying to change channel from an out of sight location to prove it is IR only & also try voice commands which should not work

& only then reset the second & re-pair this second one in bluetooth mode

Step 2 should say 4&6, right?

OOps - yes

hi @Jon+Falkner

You have to  pair the one you want as infrared only first & then press the 4 & 6 to set it to infrared.

When you have paired that proceed re-pair the other one you want in bluetooth

(if you need to reset both first by pressing & holding 7 & 9 before starting the re-pairing by pressing & holding 1 &3)

Re: Unable to pair 2 Sky Q Remotes to new tv

Hi, thanks for the reply,  I followed your instructions but unfortunately I have the same result. I can still only use one remote to control all functions on the Sky Q box but the other only controls the volume. Again, I can switch which one has the full functionality but each time the other reverts to only volume control function working.

hi @Jon+Falkner

Once you have set the 1st remote to IR only does it have full line of sight of the SKY Q box ?

@Jon+Falkner Can you humour me and repeat the process but after pairing the  first remote (the one to be used in IR mode),

stop at each stage & test

i.e.

1) check that it fully works in bluetooth mode before setting to IR only (check voice commands work to prove Bluetooth connection)

2) set to IR only pressing the 6 & 9 and now test again it works whilst pointing at the box

3) test again by trying to change channel from an out of sight location to prove it is IR only & also try voice commands which should not work

& only then reset the second & re-pair this second one in bluetooth mode
