Unable to obtain IP address with Ethernet connection

We have been using Sky Q with Ethernet connection successfully for 2 years - we have the mini boxes hard wired as well. The connection to the main box has now gone down and will not reconnect. When I select on Q box to connect via Ethernet it is saying it cannot obtain an IP address.  The Wi-Fi is disabled in the Engineer Settings) We have rebooted router (everything else in the house is working fine on the internet) I have reset the Q box, switched everything off and back on......nothing is working and I am out of ideas!

Weird. Have you double checked wifi is definitely off? Has a habit of zombiefying itself.

 

what happens if you try to give it a manual IP address?

Wi-Fi is definitely off (checking everytime to be certain!)

This has started happening for me this week after many months of working without issue.
