U and W downloads sky q

Hi 

Why cant I download any u and w shows? Hd/sd at all but it's meant to be a free to air channel?

hi @Cre 

U&W is Free To air in SD but not HD

So if you do not have the HD add on you will need to change your dwonload preference

So as the default download quality is set to HD (high Definition) not SD then when you try to download and watch you are prompted to upgrade if you don;t have it  (i.e. take out the HD subscription)

You, probably, just need to change your download preference to SD
Main Menu -> Settings -> Setup -> Preferences

(Please note this setting can only be set on the Main box)

I'm unable to download in either HD or SD I figured it was to do with not having a HD pack. However I'm unable to download in SD either so unfortunately this doesn't resolve the issue thanks thou!

hi @Cre 

Did you change to SD by changing the setting I mentioned or did you just try 'other formats'

I ask because I think selecting SD from 'Other  formats' can be erratic

Tried it both ways.no change still same message

i keep getting the message you need a subscription to download this show please upgrade message

Please may I ask which base package you have - is it Signature or Essentials or an older one ?

I have the essentials pack but u and w are free to air channels so shouldn't be affected by not having the boxsets

I do not know if there are any quirks with U&W (or other U&xxxx FTA channels) with the Essentials subscription but I have escalated your post to a SKY support team, who, hopefully, will be in touch.

If you are using Safari I believe you must make sure that 'Hide IP address' is not checked in settings to be able to see it - if you have difficulty finding that setting then may be try accessing here with another browser
