Trying to log into Discovery+ on Sky Q. It scans QR code then says on Sky web page “We can't do that at the moment. We hope everything is back to normal soon”. Has been like this every time I try to load the webpage. I’ve tried my both smart phone and on a PC. Any help to resolve this issue would be much appreciated thanks

Try clearing all Cookies and History on your PC

Instructions on Discovery+ on Sky box say to go to sky.com/discoveryplus-activate which brings up the same message as for you, phoned Sky who said it's because people trying to activate it for the Olympics which is rubbish as I've been trying to activate it for weeks, Sky weren't interested, said just keep trying!

I have tried doing this but it doesn’t make any difference, same message appears. Even tried it on a tablet device as well as well as my PC. Tried separate browsers too. I think it’s an internal issue with the Sky website as I have noticed many reporting the same issue not just me. This needs to be fixed as it’s causing problems. Can’t be my browser or devices out of date they are only a few years old. Only did an update not long ago anyway

Glad to hear you’re had the same problems trying to load that page as I know I’m not the only one now. I have already come across an article about this in one of the newspapers the other day so clearly a more widespread issue & it seems an internal issue with their website so it’s nothing to do with the browsers we are using. It needs to be resolved soon. Hope to find a simple solution at some point

I've been going round in circles with this since I found out that Discovery+ was broadcasting the Olympics and some of the sports I wanted to watch.
Been getting the same message as those above, and tried the Bot chat with no luck either. Got to the site for my TV and told to "Select Sky Q" on it. But no button for Sky Q, so can't check the software.
When I asked to Bot to speak to a human, was sent to this thread.
Information I got earlier that Sky Q customers get Discovery+ for free! Huh? Can't get it at all via Sky. Where is the icon to select.
A not happy customer after 25+ years. Text on TV isn't clear for an 80 year old's eyes. Print colours bleed into background. Can we have dark black print on a white background please? Then I might be able to read the instructions.

So I've now tried to get Discovery+ using the QR code on the tv screen.
That gets me through to the Sky website on my phone. Enter my email add and password. It all starts to work then I get the message
"We can't do that at the moment
We hope to have everything back to normal soon. Please try again later"
How much later do they mean.... I've been trying for over a week now and ALWAYS get the same message.
They need to return the contract to BBC. At least we could have watched virtually everything live if we wanted. This is the very worst coverage I've ever experienced of the Olympics in 60 years!

After no real help from Sky I contacted DiscoveryPlus and their CS man got me sorted, very quickly.

I completely agree with all your comments I’ve had exactly the same problems as you. Agree about the coverage on the BBC for the Olympics has been very poor, that’s why I am so desperate to get the Discovery + app to work so at least I can choose a sport I wish to watch rather than be stuck with just two channels which constantly switch to different sports without seeing the conclusion to some events in some instances. Very frustrating.

@Kate_Humble_fanI did it via a chat box on PC, I don't recall the name, it was a very different experience to sky chatbox as I quickly got to speak to a human. Basically he took off the account I had made, I gave him another email and he used that to make me a new discovery account (I changed the password after).
