Ah that's great, I've checked all the other devices connected and there all fine it was just the Q box that blew I'll explain it to the engineer on Friday, dunno if they have issues with power, this is the 1st time the main box has done it

Having the same issues like
all you guys constantly dropping connection! I changed my wifi away from
sky because it's was absolutely dirt I'd boosters the lot! Got in Vodafone super fast so it's not the wifi I get get 400mb in my back garden 30ft away from the house!
I've updated all the boxes but every day I'm back to hard unplugging the boxes! Have to say sky service is gone to the dogs here in Ireland think
its time to give it the boot! For money paid it's definitely not worth the grief!

When you say "if they don't sort this out", have you spoken to them? Because otherwise they're not trying to sort anything out.

You need a new mini Box..Happened to me and nothing worked. Eventually they gave me a new box and no problem

I've been having connectivity issues with my mini boxes and wifi connectivity recently on my main box, but after months of frustration i think it's been sorted. If you've tried everything and still not working, check your recordings/manage and if less than 40% available (mine was 99% full), delete recordings to this level. Between that, and an update to each box, it appears to have fixed my issues 🙂
hope this is helpful

I cancelled my multiroom subscription the other day, finally lost my patience with the mini box losing connection to the main box at least once a day, not worth the hassle in my opinion, had numerous engineers out as well to try and find a problem but they couldn't

@Staffmister afraid to say it could be your broadband and it's not bull that having Sky broadband helps the boxes but thats not say that is the reason for the mini boxes not connecting.
When you have Sky broadband the mini boxes will connect to your wfi signal and form a mesh with the router, main box and any other mini boxes you may have.
When you have third party broadband then the mini boxes only form a mesh with the main Q box and any other mini boxes you have so your router and wifi signal from the router do not form any part of the mesh, the mesh is emitted from the main Q box.
Hence the reason that the mesh may be weaker with just the Q box and the mini box and the need for boosters.
There could be other reasons as well that yes you may have dodgy boxes that dont receive or send out a strong enough mesh signal.
Not all houses are wifi friendly especially if using third party broadband seeing as the router and wifi signal are not part of the mesh.
If using ethernet then by attaching the main box by ethernet to the router then any minis can also be attached to the router
Hope this helps understand how the Sky mesh works

The problem imo is that sky's network components are just cheap crap. We have 4 TVs, 2 tablets, 2 laptops, 2 Blu-ray players, 1 music player, 2 phones. None of these have the slightest problem connecting my network.
I also have sky q with 3 mini boxes. I can guarantee that at least one mini ( usually two) will have connectivity problems at least once a week.
In settings it says it is connected to the sky box and it is connected to the network.....so (Removed) is it complaining about?
Usually the fix is to reactivate the connection to the sky box but that doesn't always work until about the 5th attempt.
Sometimes it will rejoin and I get TV for about 30 seconds then it fails again.
What utter, utter (Removed)

I have a sky Q with 3 minis. I can guarantee that at least one mini will suffer from connectivity errors at least once a week. Often more than one and often more than once a week. Go into settings and connection to sky Q and connection to network are both ticked, so what is it complaining about? Anyway reactivating the sky Q connection (from the mini) usually sorts it out. But not always, sometimes I have to power cycle the mini. Tonight it took 7 goes. 7 goes. Each time it came back on I got a TV program for 20-30 seconds then it went again.
What utter, utter ******.

I have rebooted all equipment and router and nothing improved!

@TonyManx I cancelled my multiscreen, the mini boxes are absolutely terrible, would constantly lose connection daily and I had to keep reconnecting it, not worth the hassle
