Channel 512 just shows black screen with no satellite signal a across it. The programme is listed in tv guide and at bottom of rhe screen. It's extremely frustrating

GB News switched a while ago to a European wide transponder rather than a UK targetted one and is thus one of the weakest channels in the UK & will be one of the first channels lost if the dish is slightly out of alignement
You may need to arrange SKY to call to get the alignment checked

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@RRYS16 GB News is on a European beam which tends to be the 1st one to show reception issues, can you also view CNN? If not it's dish alignment issue.
If you can it may simply be an issue with the particular broadcaster.

Working here and so not Off air.
Heavy storms are in some areas and this can effect the Satellite signal starting with the weakest connection channels.
If you have no storms in your area
Work through the following link and if you cannot solve your issue it will lead to booking a Engineer.
Alternately, if you are on a Communal Dish you will need to contact your Landlord or Management company.
