This channel is currently affected by a problem with your satellite signal - how do I resolve

I have lost Chanel 4 , sky Atlantic , gold , Dave etc

You may require an engineer to check the alignment of your dish but in the meantime check this link

How did you resolve this, I have had the same problem twice now. No BBC2NI HD, C4HD, Sky Witness, Sky Atlantic HD, DaveHD, Sky Max HD, ITV2HD, BBC News HD, CNN HD, QVC HD. Engineer came out first time and one of the copper wires in the cable into the box was missing from the input. Sometimes the pictures come back after I have booked an engineer visit then I end up cancelling after it seems ok. Then it happens again, doesn't bother me but the wife watches the majority of these affected channels!

I disconnected the cables from the box and found out that the copper bit that goes in was corroded (same as last time) which means there must some damage to the cable somewhere and water is getting it (30 ywar old cable) . I'm surprised the engineer didn't discover this the last time! I suppose a week until he comes out again isn't too bad!
