There are no specialist heights engineers available until end of August!

I've lost satellite signal for my Sky Q box and need the dish realigning after some pretty strong winds earlier this year.  Unfortunately my dish is on the roof attached to my chimney.  Because we face west, this has been a semi regular problem for the 24 years I have had sky.  Usually a brave individual (now called a "specialist heights engineer") arrives; parks his ladder against the side of the house and walks up the roof.  Rang Sky Protect today (8th June) to book an engineer and was given the first available date of 223rd or 24th August.  ARE YOU KIDDING!!  Where have all the engineers with a head for heights gone?

I think you may find that the overall number of Engineers is gradually reducing as customers switch (or start with) Stream which doesn't require Engineers.

You maybe right. So where did they all go?. Funnily enough I have just tried a local aerial company and had to fight with them to stop them coming on Monday when I'm not available. LOL Anyway hopefully they will come on Tuesday!1

Obviously that will be at your own expense. The additional issue you'll have is unless the local engineer moves the dish to a more accessible position Sky could refuse to work on it in the future.

I have spoken to Sky Protect and because they were unable to find an engineer in an acceptable time they have said I can "pay and claim" up to £120.
