Hi @Flossybob
If this is your main Q box try a Network reset.
Network Reset found in Q box Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to connect by WiFi to your router.
If you are on Sky broadband you will be asked to press the WPS button on the Sky router. (Not on the Q box as the Network reset will start the main Q box WPS automatically). Make sure you press the WPS button on the Sky router and not the reset button.
if you are on 3rd party (non Sky ) broadband then you need to enter the SSID and password for the router 2.4 Ghz WiFi band.

I have the same problem so does a lot of people in the area it's obviously a problem with sky not our routers.... they are just pawning us off with the usual reset jazz but it keeps doing it all the time so frustrating because your paying for a product that is clearly not working. 😡

Currently experiencing similar connectivity issues with both Sky Q Box and Ski Q Mini-Box. Having to reset these every day now despite good broadband/wifi. Getting somewhat miffed at the lack of reliability for the cost of the equipment.

Oh I'm with you skibob it's a joke but I know of lots of people having same issue but only with sky! So it's an issue at there end not ours.... I work 60hrs a week I get a day off and full of connectivity issues... I firmly expect a refund for not honouring a working product.... it's be coming a joke.I'm not paying for something that's not working or providing a service to me.

I have the same issue.
The main SkyQ box will not maintain a Wi-Fi connection, and neither will the mini box. Both boxes have the latest software, I've reset both boxes, still doesn't fix it.
I click 'home' and all I get is 'Please wait...' or 'Sorry, there are currently no programmes of this type available'
I opened the network settings, and you can sit there and watch the network change from a tick, to a cross, back to a tick, then a cross again.
I phoned Sky and explained everything I tried, and yet they still ask me to repeat the process. I told them I had problems earlier in the year, and that a Sky engineer came out. He put a new dish up, and swapped out the mini box, but the problems persist. He told me that an engineer hasn't been to my property since 2011, and as good as called me a liar.
I demanded that another engineer comes out to try and resolve the issue, but they refused.
I'm totally sick (removed) that comes with Sky. They do not give a (removed) about their customers, as long as they take your payments each month.

I wrote a long post about the same problem, but it got deleted.
I've noticed that a lot of old threads with Sky Q complaints have all been deleted.

@Dooble your original post is back. It was probably picked up by the spam filter but after being reviewed was put back. The spam filter can be a pain at times.

Having this issue as well, started when I got my Sky Box Mini. I wired the mini to my router, and that stablished it's connection, but sky q box via wifi isn't sticking.
This needs to be looked into, asap, do engineers monitor these threads?

Doubt it but pervasive issues do get picked up by the team that do monitor them.
problem with wifi is so many different issues can cause the same symptoms

+1
The best thing you can do with Sky Q for stability and your own mental health is remove the "Q mesh" from the equation. The hardware and software is shonky at best.
Hardwire the main Q box if possible, turn off WiFi in the settings on all boxes, Powerline connections for any mini boxes and make sure any updates don't turn WiFi back on.
Mine has been solid for 3 years now on Sky and then BT broadband.

I managed to ethernet both up using an eero mesh network config, and it's working fine now.
But this is definitely an issue Sky needs to sort out.
Q UDH box connected to wi-fi check
Connect Mini Box to wi-fi check
Q USH box disconnected from wi-fi and can't reconnect
Connect Mini Box to ethernet check
Q UDH box still can't connect
Both boxes via ethernet and it's fine.
Still not adequate, as I've to buy additional hardware now (powerline) to get this working ...
