Telephone number to contact Sky

Is there a number to ring as I'm going round in circles on the app. Since the storm I have lost some channels but they haven't come back after turning off. The app says there is no issue so I'm getting nowhere.

Click on the need more help drop down at the very bottom of the link below to reveal an 0333 number if your in uk (full numbers aren’t permitted on the forum)

If in ROI using the same link change the flag in bottom right hand corner and refresh the link before following above instructions to reveal an 0818 number

or if you have sky mobile/talk call 150 Calls to Sky Customer Services from your Sky Talk landline phone or a Sky mobile are free

The start will be automated which may try to send you here to the forum or suggest you receiving a text. Stay on the line as long as possible and don’t hang up. If necessary say nothing when the automated system asks you what your call is about as it should then route your call into a queue for the next available agent.

You can call on 150 from a Sky Talk Line or Sky Mobile.

If you haven't got a current Sky Mobile or Sky Talk this link should help:

Scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides a 0333 number.
(ROI) on the same link change the flag in the very bottom corner to the ROI flag to obtain an 0818 number.

Stay on the line and don’t hang up if prompted to. A some of the quieter times to ring are early morning or late evening.

@sheffiel  Extension for what exactly?

 

if you mean extension of time to pay your bill then this is something Sky provides 

 

if your services are yet to be restricted you should contact sky and discuss your options

If your services are not yet restricted the following process applies to everyone, regardless of any personal circumstances …

🔹If you have a Direct Debit set up and the full payment fails on the normal payment date Sky will automatically attempt it again 10 calendar days later (so DO NOT be tempted to make a manual payment in this period).

After 10 days, if that second attempt also fails Sky may send a text and/or email notifying you that your payment has failed again and you then have a day or two at best before they restrict your services.

🔹If you have a Continuous Card payment method set up, if the full payment fails Sky send the text/email notification about the failed payment and you usually have at best 2/3 days before being restricted. There is no grace period and I believe only 1 attempt is made for a card payment, so if this has failed, you will need to pay manually and then reset the payment method for next month.

Restrictions are an automated process and we’ve been told Customer Service agents can’t stop it… even if you’re told otherwise on the phone. Sky don’t allow payment plans (except on a legitimately closed account) or a promise to pay on or by a certain date.

The current methods for contacting Sky are below and depending on your reason for making contact some methods will be more appropriate than others……

🟩 📞 Customer Services by dialling 150 (free) from either a Sky mobile or a Sky Talk landline. The forum doesn’t allow the display of other numbers. Other official numbers to Sky from the UK are 03 numbers which are normally inclusive from non Sky phones.

All calls will start automated which may offer you the online help route or try to send you here to the forum. Stay on the line as long as possible and saying nothing when asked the reason for the call sometimes helps being put in the queue for an agent.

If necessary a number may be visible at the end of the correct help flow.

🟩 Sky Assistant 💬 should also be available via
https://www.sky.com/help
for most service issues and gives you 24/7 help and a quick response. It should provide you with multiple choice options based on your problem and will provide troubleshooting steps to fix any service issues.

🟩 Social Media You can also get in touch via the messaging services on: Facebook, Instagram, or X (links at the bottom of the forum page).

🟨Note ~ ROI customers If you’re in the ROI make sure the flag in the bottom right of the link is showing the correct flag and change if required. The Sky Ireland phone lines are closed at a weekend.

I have returned a Sky hub in the original box as l couldn't get any help to install the hub from Sky despite asking over and over for help from an engineer. However the return box was delivered flat and I had to tear it to open it, l removed the returns postage and I put the return slip inside, l added my name and address, but they are threatening to charge me for none return because they are saying that I didn't return it. I can't get to talk to an agent so if they decide to charge me then I will leave Sky for good, please don't let them tempt to join Sky broadband and talk unless you know how to install the hub because you won't get any help from  them to do it !!!!
