Talking to a real person

Constant problems with q mini box disconnecting to main box and router, apparently it's because the a boxes are quite old tech, whereas the sky router and hexagon extender boxes are next generation...inter generational strife is common, is not just a human phenomenon.

Anyway, my question is this: how do I quickly bypass the irritating menu options quickly and talk to a real person?

It is deeply irritating to have to keep being pushed down electronic, preprogrammed dead ends by some canned voice. When you actually speak to a real person, they are usually very good, but actually getting to that point is made deliberately hard.

It is made deliberately hard. That's the idea. For issues that can be potentially answered on line or on here via the Community, it saves a number of unnecessary calls to the contact centres.

So all calls to Sky will initially be automated which may try to send you here to the forum, offer you online help or offer to send you a text. Stay on the line as long as possible and saying nothing when asked the reason for the call sometimes helps being put in the queue for an agent.
