Synching sound to sound bar with a new remote

My Sky Mini-box remote developed a fault.  So, Sky sent me a new remote.  While the remote works OK, the old remote was synched for sound control with the Sony soundbar I use with my TV.  When I switched to the new remote, it does not have control of the sound from the sound bar.  I need to switch remotes to the Sony one to change the sound level.

Does anyone know a way to synch the Sky remote to the Sony sound bar?

You need to pair the remote : 

May I suggest you try a reset of your remote first :

Press & Hold the 7 & 9 until the remote's light (red LED above the SKY logo button) flashes 4 times

Then press 1 & 3 together to go through to re-pair with the box and your TV  & Soundbar - make sure it has line of sight of the box as until it is paired it uses Infrared
