Subtitles are crucial in this day and age!!!!!!!
Why oh why do you not offer subtitles as an option for anyone paying for your service?!!!!! It's common place for many be it hard of hearing (as in my case but I wear hearing aids) or the language barrier etc. There is no reason why the n this day and age that you should not be offering this service, having charged over and above other fees.

Re: Subtitles are crucial in this day and age!!!!!!!
" If a show or movie doesn’t have subtitles, it’s because subtitles haven’t been created by the broadcaster, who's responsible for creating and uploading them.
We're committed to subtitling 100% of shows and movies on Sky's Entertainment and Cinema channels. Over 80% of programming on Sky Sports channels and Sky News is subtitled today. "

Re: Subtitles are crucial in this day and age!!!!!!!
Hi There is subtitles available on the Sky Q box my wife is hard of hearing and use them all the time. Most programme on most of the channels on the box carry them. To turn the subtitles on from the home screen scroll down the menu on the left of the screen to setting, and select on the menu you then get, scroll down and select " Accessibility" you will then see a menu on the right of the screen. Press the right key to get into it, then scroll down to select " subtitles" it will say "off" if you now press the select button it will change to "on" now press the back button on your remote to put back to see you normal channel. If the programme is carrying subtitles and most do most programmes do, you will now see them on you screen. Apart from the live programming , most of on demand and the sky cinema on demand service also have subtitles and you will see them without having to do an any thing else. However if you watch stuff in the apps like Netflix , ITVX or BBC player for example many programme's on there also have subtitles but you need to turn them on separately for each app. This usury done by selecting the film or program you want to watch and pausing the programme, you you will usualy see a small speak buble on screen you need to highlight this with your remote using the up down buttons then selecting . It usualy say " subtitles' or "close caption" with a tick against one usulay " off" using the up down button move down to to the one that says " hard of hearing" or words to that fact if there is more than one option or"on" if just the one and select the tick will appear against that option. Restart your programme and you will then see the subtitles on you screen. Most apps once you have selected subtitles on one programme it will remember and each time you select a programme on that app if there is subtitles available they will be there without having to do any more.

Pressing the "?" On your remote only give you subtitles on the channel you are watching for as long as you watch that channel if change channel you lose subtitles and have to press "?" again to get them. The procedure I described in my earler post above will give subtitles on all channels, all the time even if put you box in stand an then turn back later. In fact it gives you subtitles on you box all the time, unless you back in to settings and turn them off.
