Subscribing to channels for short periods of time /changing package frequently

I have the basic package on Sky Q. Three times per year there are events on channels which I do not have & I want to watch these events, I cannot afford to subscribe to these channels for a whole year, this is what I want to do: subscribe to Sky Sports for the last week of August & first week of September in order to watch the US Open tennis, subscribe to TNT Sports for the last 2 weeks of January in order to watch the Australian Open, subscribe to TNT Sports for the last week of May & first week of June in order to watch the French Open tennis. I think it's easy to add channels by pressing the red button on my remote - it's taking them away that I'm unsure about, you see I get extremely frustrated when phoning Sky - trying to get past the robot & then through to an unhelpful person in a foreign call centre (oh how I miss Sky's UK call centre).

@jbootinky  Sky may allow you to sign up to Sports & TNT on a 31 day rolling contract, but you need to call to get that.

Once sined iup you would need to give nothice the same day , 31 days is the minimum term.

Perhaps it may be better just to sign up throgh Now TV as they offer Monthly, 6 monthly or day passes.  https://www.nowtv.com/plans/new/sports

Re: Subscribing to channels for short periods of time /changing package frequently

I don't have Now TV. The French & Australian were always on Eurosport (RIP) before which was included so wasn't a problem, for a while the US was on Amazon so I couldn't watch it as I don't have that, however when it was on SS I used to phone up to upgrade and downgrade on the same phonecall, however that was when Sky used UK call centres - now that they use foreign call centres I have no faith at all in getting the call handler to undertand & act upon my request.

@jbootinky  If you TV is a smart TV check the app store on the TV, the Now TV app may be there.

No it's not smart - and neither am I when it comes to tech! Doesn't seem good value - £15 for one day vs £31 for a whole month.....

Well one day doesn't seem good value, no

But £30 for a month vs having to pay for the whole year seems a bargain.
