Stuck with a sky service I can’t use!

Posting here after having 9 separate telephone calls with various departments within Sky in the hope someone may be able to suggest a way forward!

We are long time (10 years plus) sky subscribers - sky q with multi room and sport channels. We pay £110 per month. We recently moved house, and fully intended to take our sky service with us. Sky engineer showed up the day after we moved in, so far so good.

Unfortunately, apparently (as per the engineer) due to neighbouring trees, sky q is completely unwatchable in hd let alone uhd. Just constant picture black outs every 3-5 seconds. The engineer acknowledged this and told us the answer was to move to sky stream, and having looked into it and accepting all the current limitations (which to me do seem pretty significant) I phoned up to request the switch.

The response was no - well, yes you can move, but it will be a one off fee and an additional £30 per month. £140 a month total.  And that is without the additional sky multiroom box which I will lose.

Long story short, I asked many times if I could remain on the current terms, just with sky stream rather than sky q, and was told no. So I asked if I could leave my contract (on the basis that I literally cannot have what I am paying for) and was told no to that as well. So now I am completely stuck, paying £110 a month for a service I cannot watch and with no way of getting out without agreeing to pay a lot more money.

any advice?
