Starlink, TP link mesh and 2 seperate Sky Qs and minis

So we have a new Starlink system going into my

parents house, then they have a TP link deco X60 AX5400 set up at there house with there main network. There is then a cat6 from there first deco down into my house and I have another set of AX5400 deco's so we are sharing one starlink and one network. However we have 2 seperate Sky Q systems both running minis and this is where we have a problem as well as with a couple of other wifi systems Philips hue etc. So the minis keep coming up with technical fault, So you can fix it by there main Q box being on and unplugging the mini a few times and that gets rid of the error but then my mini is seeing her main Sky Q box, even if my Sky Q box is on. I suspect we need to maybe put some kind of router or managed switch up at there house so that maybe we can create a Vlan or something like that for my house, but I'm just seeing if anyone has any ideas or thoughts at this stage

@SLS1

Having two main Q boxes on the same network distribution is going to confuse Mini boxes: they just weren't intended for that.

Unfortunately by definition this means almost no-one is going to be using such a setup, so getting advice based on experience is likely to be difficult.

@SLS1 not any helpwith your problem

but this is one of the reasons that Sky dont allow 2 main Q boxes on 1 subscription as they cause problems for each other when on the same  network

I may be a Sky Superuser but I am still just a Sky customer

Yeah I think you'll need to stick a managed switch in where your cat6 reaches their house and set up 2 vlans.

also you might run into the problem people have had in the past where a managed switch that supports STP gets upset with the amount of broadcast spam the Q produces and closes down its port. Possibly configurable though.

two starlink dishes/contracts is plan B.
