Hi Daniel,
have we found an answer for the loss of sound on Channel 5 or is it a glitch in the Matrix?

I am also getting this, but when the program restarts, the sound doesn't come back until I change channel up and back again.

Same here too. Nice to see Sky offering up a resolution. I've seen posts from last year with exactly the same issue, with no answer.
Strange that it only seems to affect Channel 5.
Alomg with low sound output that can't be changed, Sky seem to have a lot of issue. I'll be glad when I move to Freesat..........

Re: Sound lose on channel 5 when adverts come on
We have been having sound loss on Channel 5 on our Sky Q box for a few months. The sound only returns if you switch to another channel and then back again.

Yes...I have discovered that that brings the sound back! It's very strange...especially as it doesn't happen on any other channel!

Re: Sound lose on channel 5 when adverts come on
I have been having the same issue with loss of sound on channel 5 when the adverts start. I spoke to a Sky technical advising to power off the Sky Q box then restart, I then was told to go to recordings - manage to check the amound of disc space used. My hard drive was showing 79% full, tech guy told me to delete some recordings down to 65% to free up space, this is a know problem according to Sky.
I will now monitor this to see if the issue has cleared.

Re: Sound lose on channel 5 when adverts come on
We're having the same problem on Channel 5 adverts, as others have said if you change channel then go back it's fine. Just checked our disk space and there's only 26% used, so 74% free!
Well try powering off Sky Q box next time, but if it's a known problem shouldn't Sky be trying to do something to rectify it?

@JEPI: Obviously a common problem...why indeed are Sky not sorting it?

Hi all,
Thanks for all commenting on this thread about this issue you are seeing on Channel 5.
Can everyone who is still experiencing this issue get me some examples of dates / times when this is happening exactly moving forward or if you have something that's recently happened and you are adament on the date / time that would also be great.
Also, can you please go to settings > system info and get me your hardware & software version numbers?

Re: Sound lose on channel 5 when adverts come on
Hi. This happened last night 23 November at 7.15. My software version is q230.000.14.00(5nf3ptk). Hardware no is 32b206. Hopefully this helps as it is very annoying.
