Sound dropping on all channels except recordings and apps on my SKY Q box.

The sound keeps dropping off on all channels, but does not on Recordings and Apps. Have just replaced SKYQ box and problem still exists. Have checked HDMI cable and all ok. This is fed into Primare amp. It is unlikely to be amp as sound unaffected from AMPS and Recordings. Will need  to call out engineer to check dish etc.,

If you are not seeing any picture breakup - then it is more likely to be an issues between SkyQ and the amp.

 

Can you watch a live channel that is breaking up - and record the same channel at the same time - and check that recording?

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I have done what you suggested and the recording is fine but live breaks up. I am wondering whether the SKYQ box differentiates between live TV and recorded ?
