Sound stutter on main event

Exactly same problem here. I have a survey for Sky sat in my inbox. I shall make a point of mentioning that no one from Sky has commented on this

Happening toght now with Silverstone F1. So ive switched to Channel 4.

It's happening with both Sky Main Event UHD and F1 UHD today. Surely someone at Sky must realise this is an issue by now.

No issues for me on F1 UHD. 

In fact, since my A/V receiver developed issues and I've had to temporarily run everything through my TV to the receiver rather than going direct from the Sky box to the receiver, it seems to have been fine. 

So I wonder if the issue is to do with bit-rate handling or some other bandwidth issue.  Previously, my receiver would switch to Atmos almost instantly but now it's routed through the TV's hdmi it takes a few seconds before any sound is produced. It's as if there's a buffer when running through the TV but not when directly connected.

I see in the MySky App they have have a section for this problem, but only on Samsung TV's. Interestingly they say to speak to Samsung about a firmware update. I have a Phillips TV. Come on Sky! Get your act together and at least us that you are aware of the problem.

I was getting the problem on an Arcam AV Receiver.

It's not just live tv ..I have recorded stuff from uhd channel..darts  as it happens!! Same thing. Must be coming from source..doesn't matter what set up you have!! Garbage!!

Main Event UHD unwatchable this morning with this problem. Disappears by going to Cricket channel and selecting UHD feed. Defo Main Event problem

Not just 401 main event, as this is also happening on other UHD channels as reported my other Sky Q subscribers. I see this on both 401 and 406. Any live stream where the content is UHD. Don't tend to have this problem of watching a UHD program downloaded from catchup.

July 2024 and still happening on main event uhd whilst watching Grand Prix and now Test Match. Watch on Sky F1 or Sky Cricket UHD sound is perfect. So obviously nothing has been done.

Why is this marked as answered when its clearly still an issue. Watching Main event UHD is literally unwatchable due to the sound constantly dropping out for a second every few minutes. Watching on HD is fine. 

Sky need to sort this out instead of constantly bugging me to watch on UHD when it doesnt work.

Are you all on dkyW satellite or streaming internet? I am on sky Q and since my original post have never had an issue. However my contract is due for renewal  and I will probably drop uhd. My Panasonic tx1500 upscales hd superbly. The old is good at that. Sky in my opinion do not have a customer service when you ring up they suggest an engineer call out. I have had that it was established it was a sky broadcast problem.
