Intermittent sound dropout on SkyspME UHD Ch 401

Has anyone found a solution for this. This is terrible from sky the amount of money we're paying them and the sound cuts of on live sport. This happens when the footballs on and now when the crickit is on. 404 and 401 UHD is stuttering sound more on 401 than the crickit

There has not been any solution for this, and is still happening. This has been happening for months now to the point where we are now considoring leaving and going to another providor. We've been with sky for 25+ years and never faced issues like this.

@Sk148 , I agree with you. Paying over £1,000 for this service per annum, and Sky don't seem to give a monkeys uncle. I have to turn the audit when listen in DD+ and the sound still breaks every 20-30 sec do a sec. I don't get any issues with Netflix and have to turn the volume down after watch Sky Q. This is clearly only a UHD issue as I have an extra room outlet with a Sonos Beam 2 connected to the TV and as this is only 1080p I never get any sound problems.  My 18 month fix period is up soon, and I'm seriously considering moving as the premium pricing for the premium services are just not worth it, as the audio quality is Rubbish and Sky don't care.  I'm also a Diamond VIP with Sky since they where BSkyB. Just appalling and I hope Sky and reading this, and the person who mark a response with a solution that's NOT A SOLUTION!!.

We hadn't had this problem for ages but I just switched to 401 for the cricket and the split-second drop out of the sound is there again. [Set up is Sky Q with sound out via LG sound bar + LG TV speakers]

Same for me watching the cricket on 401 UHD, sound skipping randomly. Doesn't happen on 404 HD. No sound bar, watching Sky Q on Sony A80J OLED Tv.

Yep, unfortunately I am gonna have to throw my hat into the sound stutter ring (again). Sky sticking their fingers in their ears going 'wa wa wa we can't hear you' and continue to ignore/fail to rectify the obvious ongoing issue.

Samsung tv and Dolby Atmos soundbar set up.

I did have the same problem in 2023 but it somehow went away  however it has returned June 2024 the sound dropps out on 401 every 30 seconds or so. I pay for the uhd and the skyq box and I am  not getting what I am paying for. 

Please sort this out ASAP Sky.

This has been going on for too long! We all pay Sky a lot of money for their services and they are more than happy to wack through price increases to loyal customers every year. 
What is the point of this platform? I assumed that Sky management would be monitoring this platform to understand and improve their customers journey with their products?

Will someone from Sky actually deal with this issue or just ignore it and stick our prices up, again !!!!

I have a Sky sound box connected to my Sky q box and my Sony BRAVIA TV. I have set the sound box  and have done a software download to the Sky q box. No change in the sound quality, it still keeps dropping out every 30 or 40 seconds, very annoying. 

I have just changed the audio from dolby digital to normal and it seems to have made a difference, I don't know how long for .

Normal is only Stereo, for UHD we should be getting 5.1 min....

There is something that is very wrong with this channel. This is the third time that I have had problems with the sound on sky uhd channel. 

We are paying for the top quality service but we are getting 2nd rate standard.

Still getting sound hitches on F1 when watching on Main Event 401 - but no issues on channel 406 (SkySpF1 UHD) - so this doesn't seem to be a UHD issue, it appears to be a channel problem (affecting channel 401). Can someone from Sky please confirm you are aware of the issue and seeking a fix.

This was happening during todays F1 on channel 406 F1 UHD, so maybe it's all channel issue and not just 401 Main Event.

If you have UHD setup then to watch HD version without changing your settings, see if it happens on the HD only channels.
