Re: Sound dropout on main event
Issues occur less or not at all with premier league
Please check uhd ME for other events as per the forum

Re: Sound dropout on main event
Was horrendous for premier league yesterday. Has been for past couple of days. Seems fine now so far. Will have to check an Atmos enabled event like the cricket soon and see if that's fine.

Re: Sound dropout on main event
As per the forum it's been happening with any sporting show on main event UHD. Seems fine at the moment 😉

Re: Sound dropout on main event
Still getting the issue, had it on both the Chelsea game and the F1 yesterday (Both UHD) and today on a downloaded UHD show, very annoying

Re: Sound dropout on main event
Could be that I was using Dolby Digital + for all and it has some issues transmitting that. The TV can accept that, (LG G4) Sonos Arc connected with eArc and the sound set to pass through. Don't have any issues with any other sources (PS5, TV apps like Netflix etc)

Re: Sound dropout on main event
Software update appears to have cured my sound drop outs on UHD channel 401 with Dolby Atmos broadcasts on SkyQ.
Contacted Sky via web chat and they advised to force a software update from version Q270.000.08.00L to Q270.000.10.02L. Not had a single audio drop in over a week. (Sky didn't admit to any software bugs so might just be a coincidence it's now working fine after the software upgrade 😂)

Re: Sound dropout on main event
Sound cutting out every 10 seconds or so on every app (Netflix, Paramouny, Disney .etc) mid stream on Wolverine & Deadpool, I went to sky settings and changed sound settings from Dolby Digital Plus to Dolby Digital appears to have resolved the sound drop outs on this particular session.
Sky Q 2TB + Sky Router
Sony 55XD9305
Yamaha RXV-581 AV using HDMI eARC not pass through.

Re: Sound dropout on main event
Sound drop outs and occasional split second loss of picture happening on Main Event regularly for me.
Running a LG 65 G4 with Sound Bar.
What's the latest guidance from Sky?

Re: Sound dropout on main event
I recently purchased a Primare SPA25 integrated amp and am now getting intermittent momentary audio drop out on live broadcasts of HD channels. I find if I pause the broadcast, the sound is ok when I restart.....ie: the fault is there when viewing off the satellite feed but is ok when viewing from the hard drive.
I've only experienced it once but I noticed a Dolby Surround broadcast on channel 4 seemed ok too.
Any thoughts guys?

Re: Sound dropout on main event
I fixed the sound drop out issue.
I purchased a new TV and new AV amp.
Problem solved!
Old System: Sony 55XD9305 and Yamaha RXV-581
New System: Sony 55A95L and Sony TA-AN1000
Both were connected using eARC
Sky > TV
TV > Receiver
Both were set to pass through so the TV doesn't do any processing of the sound before it is passed to the reciever

Re: Sound dropout on main event
My setup with a Yamaha amp and eARC works a treat but who knows.

Re: Sound dropout on main event
My TV is a 5yr old LG oled, would love to upgrade it but have not long spent thousands on a Primare/Perlisten system.
This is my end game system so no plans to upgrade amps either.
I need to try another Sky box to at least rule my current one out.
