Some TV channels are not working (Channel 5)
Channel 5, Sports 2 (PL HD), sky Atlantic HD to name a few - no idea why it says no satellite signal

Typically that's because the dish has moved slightly out of alignment, and needs adjusting by an installer with a signal meter.

@DJJenkins As @TimmyBGood says it's probably a dish issue,I remember last yeah my mother having the same issues on the same channels you have mentioned it turned out that her dish had slightly moved and needed realigned

That would do it. Sky probably won't charge for an installer visit, but you may need to wait for one to be available.

I've been getting the same but for one channel only - 505 (CNN). One minute it was there, now it's not - but I can still get all the other news channels?
is it really a case of the dish has moved slightly which can cause just one channel to stop being available?

There are probably others but may be channels you don't watch. If it displays no satellite signal take a look at the troubleshooting here

It may then give you the opportunity to arrange an engineer to check the alignment of your dish. If you’re on a communal dish system in the UK you’ll have to contact your landlord or building management company rather than Sky.
