Probably not helped when Sky has always been remarkably secretive about the workings of the Q mesh: the dropping of the built-in Powerline support was never actually acknowledged, for example....

Yes, but my confusion is that none of the models will deliver over 90 Mbps when connected over Ethernet and acting as a WiFi hotspot.

When it's acting as a mesh node there could be deliberate halving of bandwidth on wifi to allow bidirectional traffic
