I am also having this issue - sky can't send an engineer until mid Jan!
My message says no satellite signal.

I'm afraid the recent bad weather will have knocked quite a few dish's out of alignment.

may provide some troubleshooting but it would appear mid January is the earliest availability of an engineer in your area. You could try a local satellite installation company to see if they can attend sooner but you'd be charged for that and Sky won't compensate you.
