We've had two mini boxes for years - one in a conservatory, one upstairs. The conservatory is close to the main box but WiFi has to punch through an extra brick wall and the metal frame of patios doors.
It's never really been a problem until a week or so back when we upgraded the conservatory tv to an OLED - at the same time, I forced software updates on all the boxes to make sure I was getting the best service (hadn't realised at that point that the minis can't support UHD but anyway...)
Since then, we quite often get major cyclical stuttering of sound and picture - I would estimate it's a repeating interruption of c. 1-2Hz (I.e. the sound/vision pauses every 1/2 to 1 secs). Nothing short of a hard restart of the mini box seems to work. What's odd is that when it stutters, the menus have the same interruption - button presses fail during the stutters...
My first attempted fix was to run the mini box off Ethernet via power line adapters (we already have a number) and turn off the WiFi on the main box using the 001 engineer menu. This hasn't solved the issue (leading me to question whether it is the recent software updates) but then again the mini boxes still claim to connect to the hidden SKY1234whatever mesh and I can't be sure they're using the Ethernet...
Anyone struggling in a similar fashion + either with stutters or setting up Ethernet?

We have been experiencing picture stuttering today and cannot fix it. This is on our SkyQ box though.

I spotted that you hope you've fixed it with a software update - I've already tried this and think I still get the issue after a while.
I've now double-checked that I'm running the box-to-box connection over Ethernet only - hoping this will help (or provide some clues at least...)

It seems like the software update has fixed it fir us so far. I do hope you get your issue sorted.

So far so good - I have turned off 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi on the SkyQ boxes via the 001 engineer menu and have been using Ethernet-over-Powerline for the last couple of days.
My only question now is why I can still see the Sky mesh WiFi (ssid SKYxxxxx) on WiFi devices etc. Part of the point of moving to Ethernet (other than fixing the stuttering) is/was to avoid any possible bandwidth issues with our normal 5GHz WiFi - if it stays on despite explicitly being turned off.....

Yes I have sky q with 4 mini boxes with no problems up to now
mini boxes keep disconnecting I have 3 mini boxes on wifi and one in our extension on a cat 5 cable directly wired to router along with the main sky q box hard wired for better connection and speed
however the main box keeps dropping internet and mini boxes having to reset all the time
