SkyQ losing Wi-Fi connection most days…

Hi all,

I'm not at all technical in my senior years😁 so I'll try and keep it simple!


We have a SkyQ main box and a couple of mini boxes connected over Wi-Fi with a Sky Wi-Fi booster placed in between the main box and the mini boxes.


We have been noticing on most days over the last couple of weeks that the mini boxes lose their connection to the main box and therefore can't be used.

 

When this happens I note that the main box tells me that we have lost the Wi-Fi connection to the Sky router and therefore we have no internet connection.

I reboot the main box and eventually everything connects again and all is fine for a few hours although last night I had to do this about 4 times within an hour as the TV just went blank from the main box on the TV connected to that.

 

The router is working fine it seems as we are still able to use the Wi-Fi on our phones when this happens.

 

Any ideas what might be happening? It has worked fine over the last couple of years but the last couple of months have been very frustrating.
