SkyQ dish/LNB for self-install, how do I arrange this.

The installer arrived on the 6thSept but would not install a replacement Dish/LNB on the old Sky mast at the rear of our house (dormer bungalow  with a very steep roof).

Checked with my local aerial supplier and all he needs is a long roof ladder !

So how do I get Sky to supply the Dish & LNB since the cables are already installed.

Mike.

Simple answer is they won't supply this if your arranging your own installaton, if you use an independant installer they will provide the relevant hardware.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Hi @R5oss   Sky will not provide you with a self-install dish and LNB. Remember, the dish needs to be in a easily accessible and safe place for Sky installers to maintain it.

@R5oss

Sky installers are governed by strict H & S rules and won't climb onto roofs. If you get an independent installer to fit or work on a dish that Sky deem to now be in a position they can't work on it'll impact any maintenance that might crop up in the future.

Thanks for the replies, even though they were not what I wanted to hear.
