SkyQ box appears to connect to non-existent (unknown) WiFi network

I've got a SkyQ box, connected via ethernet cable to one of the ethernet ports of my BT Hub.  It also shows to be connected to WiFi network called SKYEBB09, which most definitely is not mine.  I've never had Sky broadband.  All my immediate neighbours have Virgin, and the signal is very strong, so I am really struggling to work out what is this network.

I called Sky tech support multiple times, and got different answers each time.  One said it's the internal WiFi of the SkyQ box (in which case how can it be connected to itself??) and another said it was a tech error and they want to move me to something called Sky Stream (at a fee of course).

Does anyone have any ideas what this might be?

The answer from tech support is correct; it's the internal network of your Sky box. If you have any mini boxes they will connect to this, if not it serves no purpose but will show as connected anyway. Either way it's nothing to worry about.

Re: SkyQ box appears to connect to non-existent (unknown) WiFi network

Many thanks.  That was my initial thinking but the first engineer I spoke to told me it was a sign the box was faulty and I should upgrade to Sky Stream...

My issue is that I have really poor connectivity between the SkyQ main and one of the SkyQ minis.  I was really hoping to be able to attach both (by ethernet) to access point on my mesh wifi.  Doesn't seem to be possible if I'm not a Sky broadband customer, apparently.
