I've recently bought a 65" LG G3 OLED TV and subsequently upgraded my Sky subscription to include Ultra HD. I've then followed Sky's instructions to change my box setup to UHD at 3840 x 2160 in 10-bit colour.
Whilst the UHD/HDR content looks incredible, there appears to be an issue with the Sky Q user interface and EPG on this setting, where ieverything looks noticably worse (blurry & unfocussed) than it does at 1080p. Almost as if the UI and EPG is being upscaled in UHD mode.
I can't keep switching settings between when I want to use the menus/interface to change it again to watch UHD content.
I've seen a few similar posts on various forums and twitter, but never reached a definitive answer. Can anybody shed any light?

I have an LG C3 and also have the same issue, it was the same on my previous LG B2. I feel as though it affects HD content in general too. People have said it's the Sky upscaling being worse than the TV up scaling which you would expect, however I've used Sky set to UHD on plenty of other non LG-OLED UHD TV's which do not suffer from this, almost as if this is an LG OLED specific problem? Still no answers either way and it does my head in as I'm very sensitive to picture quality!

I've just purchased a 65" G3 this week and noticed exactly the same thing with the Sky UI. White text looks blurry, almost like it has a slight haze around the letters.
Nothing else is like this.

Any updates on how to fix it? Just upgraded from Sky Q HD to Sky Q UHD and HD content is definitely blurry. Incredibly annoying, considering most of my viewing will still be in HD due to limited UHD content.

I've noticed this ever since getting Sky Q in 2016 and never found a solution. I think it's just the upscaler in the Sky Q boxes is poor, so everything looks much sharper when the box is set to 1080i/p and the TV does the upscaling to 2160p.
Unfortunately this means having to switch the box to 2160p manually when watching UHD, then back to 1080 afterwards get the best picture quality. I don't think Sky will implement an Auto resolution mode at this stage.

So I have since changed from my LG C3 oled to a Samsung S90C oled, and this issue now doesn't exist. So it looks like a specific interoperability thing between Sky and LG OLEDs (not sure if just OLED?), which makes sense as pretty much every example of this is with an LG OLED. Typically moving to the Samsung OLED has now uncovered a new issue with Sky HDR being dim that is an interop thing between Samsung and Sky, but that's a whole other story!

I've since bumped the sharpness from 25 (which is what I had on for previous Sky Q HD box) to 40 and it's much better now.
