I have always had issues with I currently have Hardware Version: 32B107 which I still have issues with.
SkyQ is plugged directly into the TV via HDMI cable (The sky issued one). I setup sky so its in 10bit UHD mode, it works for a day or a few days then it either reverts back to 1080p or I get a no signal and have to type on the Sky remote HOME 1080 HOME to reset the box into 1080p mode. Sometimes I try to put the sky box back into 10bit mode and I get the error code UH021, but once I turn sky box off and on, I can then use 10bit mode.
My TV has the Deep Colour selected for the HDMI port Sky is plugged into.
I had the same issue a few years ago and I still have it.
I've read that there is a newer model available 32B2**.
Has anyone got this version and does it stop the issues I have explained above?

There is very little difference between the box you have and the 32B2 version, other than a different power supply. Both are UHD & HDR capable.
Have you tried a different, faster HDMI cable? You can get excellent quality certified HDMI 2.1 cables on Amazon such as this one for less than a tenner which may sort your issue.

Just ordered that to give it a go.
Arriving tomorrow so I'll reply in a few days to see it anything changes.
Thanks

32B2 is the 1TB UHD/HDR model from late 2019. The 32B1 is the v2 2TB UHD/HDR from a couple of years before. The v1 2TB from 2016 can do UHD but not HDR because its manufacture pre-dates the adoption of the first HDR standard, and the 2016-2019 1TB was HD only.

I'm guessing you have a Samsung TV. HDMI equipped Sky boxes have had a long history of issues with Samsung TV's, the main reason I stopped buying Samsung.
I'd try a new HDMI lead first. There is no guarantee you would get the V3 box if you did have your existing box swapped out because there are both V2 and V3 boxes in the supply chain.

Hi,
No I have the LG OLED55B8PLA.
I'm talking to sly on X but just going round in circles with them.

Morning,
The new HDMI cable didn't make any difference so I'll return that.
Still in talks with sky, they wanted a video of the issue, so that was sent off this morning. Last night I set it to 2160 10bit with the new HDMI cable, watched HDR content and the HLG logo came up on the TV so everything worked, but that always the case, I believe the issue is when the skyQ box comes out of standby (From an Orange LEF to the green LED). I turned it on this morning and got the no signal issue.
Typed "HOME 1 0 8 0 HOME" on the remote to get it back to 1080p which works. Straight away the SkyQ home page appeared on the TV. I then when to Settings > Audio Visual then tried to select 2160 10bit but it didn't work, I tried 2160 8bit and that worked. I unplugged the sky HDMI cable and plugged it back in, then I tried the 2160 10bit and it worked.
Its so annoying!!!
I put the box into standby, turned the TV off, then turned the tv on and then brought the SkyQ box from standby to on and it failed again so I just unplugged the HDMI cable and plugged it in again.
At the moment I've unplugged everything from the TV apart from the ETHERNET cable and the Sky HDMI cable. See that happens this time.

I have had the same issue with my Sky Q box. It started over a year ago with my Samsung QE55Q80 TV, which I bought from Richer Sounds. When turning TV and Sky box on using just the power button on the Sky remote, the box would frequently not be read through the HDMI lead, and several re-boots were needed to get them to connect. After months of Sky blaming Samsung and Samsung blaming Sky, Richer Sounds acknowledged that there was a Samsung/Sky incompatibility problem, and gave me a generous trade-in against an LG OLED55Cs. I've had the LG for several months and.. Gues what? The problem has started again. I've also noticed that when thois happens, the Sky box also reverts to 1080i from 2160 10-bit, and when this happens it wil only reset to 2160 8-bit for a few hours.
I'm convinced that the Sky Q box is to blame, but Sky won't acknowledge that anything could possibly be wrong with their equipment, so where do we go from here? (and that's not a rhetorical question)

Not a lot you can do really. Sky Q is pretty much dead from here on. It's a legacy product, designed and built under the Murdoch administration. Sky is now owned by Comcast who are very much in the streaming market, now pushing their own Glass & Stream products.
Your TV is much more advanced than Sky Q. TV's will continue to become better, faster and more versatile. Sky Q will cease completely in the next few years when the satellite service ends, so it won't ever be updated.
The only thing you can do is opt for a more modern service to match your modern TV, be that Sky Stream, Virgin Stream, or a different streaming device with apps.

The op stated that 'deep colour mode' is turned on. This is a LG implementation not one of Samsungs tv settings.
I've never had this issue with any Samsung tv.

Hi all, I recently had my Sky Q box replaced as part of a new contract (we'd had a few problems with the old one). The old box was model 32B212, the new one is 32B206 - purely from the numbers, that looks like a older model/downgrade. Does anyone have any info that can help? Thanks in advance.

The last two digits of the model number are irrelevant - they're just batch numbers.
The important bit is the 32B2 which indicates that your replacement box is identical in terms of functionality to your old one. There is nothing about the functionality that will be different between the two.
