Sky w box not connecting to the internet

My sky Q box will not connect to 3rd party broadband provider, I've reset the network connection and tried the wprs button. My broadband is 5G and is over 300mbps.

@Bittonmonkey66 Sky Q main boxes will only connect to the 2.4GHz wifi band from 3rd party wifi. Sky Q minis can only be connected by wifi to a Sky SSID which where there is no Sky hub is provided by the main Sky Q box using the 5GHz band. Only other way to connect Q minis is by ethernet.

I don't think it's possible to connect the Q box to a 3rd party router using WPS. You have to select the non-Sky broadband option and select te SSID and enter the password to connect.

I could be wrong but I think they meant it's using a 5G mobile network, not 5GHz wifi.

Maybe.
