Sky tv screen distorted and faded

I have an iPhone and I was using screen mirrroring to watch a video on my phone through my Samsung tv and when I've stopped mirroring my sky display is suddenly distorted and faded like the contrast is too high! I've turned everything off and took cables out and it's still the same! My tv is fine but I don't get how this has just affected sky when it had nothing to do with what I was doing! Can anyone help?

hi @Maria118

When watching SKY use your TV's own remote to navigate to Picture Settings.

Most TVs have different Modes such as Vivid, Normal, Movie, Sport

Try selecting a different mode .

If that does not work with your own usual mode selected try adjusting the different settings for Contrast/Brightness etc

I am afraid I do not know where specifically you will find the settings on a Samsung TV, nor what they might be labelled

hi @Maria118

Three things to try - none of them may work but  probably worth trying. again - I am clutching at straws

Firtsly unplug the HDMI cable from both the SKY Q box & TV &  plug it back in checking that it is frimly seated

The next thing is to restart your main SKY Q box :

Use the remote to place it into standby mode
Then remove the power to it (either switch off at mains or remove the power plug)
Wait at least 30s
Then re-apply the power & wait for it to fully restart - this may take a few minutes.

Lastly try a full power down (either switch off at mains or remove the power plug) of the TV
