You've posted in the Q forum?

But you should be able to plug in a Q box to the TV as long as it has a HDMI input - if this is what you're asking?

(Subscription Sky channels are not available on freely itself - Sky mix and sky arts seems to be available)

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Yes.

As far as I have seen, all the current freely capable TVs are just standard Smart TVs with hdmi ports.

So Sky Q or a Sky Stream box will connect and work fine using those hdmi ports.

@Kevcfc

Freely isn't a TV brand, it's an app platform owned by BBC/ITV/C4/C5 and pre-installed on some smart TV models which is used to watch public service and some other free-to-air television channels online.  You can connect any such television to a Sky Q box (with a satellite dish at the address) or a Sky Stream puck and use that Sky hardware with a Sky subscription.

@Kevcfc  Regardless of which TV you have it does not & cannot affect how you record or use your Sky Q box. (you're only viewing the box output on the TV).

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Well yeah but if you have Q, Freely itself is kind of redundant.

@Kevcfc  welcome to the forums

No question is silly - we all have areas that we don't know about.

We know that, sometimes, getting an answer makes us realise we might have known it but were unsure.

It is better to seek help to get something understood rather than assume things that may be incorrect. or even just to get re-assurance

hi @Kevcfc

Just in case there is any doubt - you can watch SKY in HD via a 4K TV without the UHD add on

You only need the UHD add on to watch anything in UHD  (note not everything is availble in UHD)

i.e. you can watch the HD variants if you dont wan't to pay the extra sub for the better quality 4K /UHD output

You can even watch the SD variants

they will look ropey though.
