In the last few weeks I've been perpetually getting the message that WiFi connectivity is lost. I reset and it temporarily works, but then disappears again. I've rebooted to no avail.
I've not changed anything in my setup and all my other devices work fine.
Is there anything else I can try?
Have you disabled wifi in the hidden installer menu?

I hadn't, but now have and it seems to have fixed it thanks! Odd that it was working in that mode for the best part of a year before it started to play up!

I've gone into the 'secret' menu and disabled 5G wifi to see if it makes any difference.

Sadly it didn't last. The connection is again being lost all the time

I wonder if Sky have put out a fix as the problem (for now at least) has gone away and the connection has been solid for the last couple of days

Hi,
If you read back through this blog you will see that you are not alone in experiencing this hugely frustrating problem and how some people have overcome it. In my case I had to get the router to only send 5khz (as opposed to both 2.4 & 5 kHz) Wi-Fi signals to my SkyQ box and all other devices. Apparently the dual signaling sends SkyQ into a frenzy and it drops the internet connection (whilst other devices continue to work ok). Unfortunately it was a Sky engineer who did the magic and he didn't want to take time to explain the methodology to a pensioner. He hard wired a new white Sky box of some description into my third party router.
