@atherlon all routers are diffrent but if you have your card or on the back of the router it has a ip address (that you put in the internet search bar) and a username (admin) and password. Then find the firewall setting hope this helps

Having the same issues as others on this post with Sky intermittently saying internet connection is lost. Unplugged and rebooted both boxes and router multiple times but still hit and miss for reconnecting.
All other devices working so we know it's not our internet connection and we pay for the top Virgin package.
This must be a known issue with Sky, is there a fix planned as it's unacceptable when you can't access everything you pay for intermittently and have to reboot multiple times.

Same problem here. Sky+ box randomly stops talking to the wifi. If I go through the diags and reset, put in the key again it'll connect. Only done this over the last week. Has there been an update?

OK so i had the same problem when i replaced my old router with another 3rd party (non-sky) model , the main Sky Q box and the Mini box kept dropping the network/internet. Lodged a complaint and was contacted quite swiftly by a human who told me to do the following on both boxes:
(No need to switch off or reboot etc)
Go to Settings - Set Up - Preferences - Standby mode - scroll across and put the tick next to None and press home button to return to main screen.

@stilts1202 mine is already set to none but it keeps happening maybe twice a bloody week.

Hey guess what, mine has just dropped the network connection again!
What a joke, absolutely fuming!
More complaints on the way.

My system is the same, when i turn on sky it says not connected to network and links me to resetting it ... what more can i do other than what has been advised?

As all my other devices work fine with the new router I am guessing there must be a conflict between the new (Technicolor DG A4 135 NLK ) and the SkyQ box.
I complained again to Sky and someone called me, asked me to check a few things which were all set as they should be so consequently they are sending a sky engineer to me on Thursday .... watch this space.

I recently changed my broadband supplier from bt to 3 we have a fabulous signal etc but the sky box keeps losing connection to the router I think it's time to cancel my sky subscription waste of time 😭

I had this problem. Tried loads of things including new sky q box (which made it worse). Solved by attaching sky booster (using ethernet cable) to the router ( i.e. in the same room as the router) and then connecting Sky Q box over WiFi to the booster. No problems since. Checked connection speed using Netflix and getting a good download speed as well. Seems Sky talks to Sky nothing else. So get Sky to supply a wifi booster free of charge to mage up for their dodgy technology

This is exactly what the sky engineer did when he visited me and all been fine since.
(He also diconnected a sky booster i had for the upstairs TV and removed a mesh device which came free with the router, as he said neither were needed they just confused the SkyQ box).

<<SORTED>>
I ditched Sky 😎 ................................. as I'd been complaining without proper fix they let me out of contract.
Now on Virgin 2 x speed, lower cost and rock solid !
To be fair it may have been an open reach issue OR a sky issue .. either way, even with new modem etc etc couldn't fix.

I've had a Sky Q TV box for just over a year and have Virgin broadband. The box is connected by Ethernet cable.
In the last few weeks I've been perpetually getting the message that WiFi connectivity is lost. I reset and it temporarily works, but then disappears again. I've rebooted to no avail.
I've not changed anything in my setup and all my other devices work fine.
Is there anything else I can try?
