Sky tv cancels in 2 months. Can I get the returns packing now?

So my Sky tv contract ends late June. Cancelation placed after 2 1/2 hours on the messaging system.  I don't use the box and want to return it now. How do I get it sent out?

I moved to a new build with no aerial, so it was cheaper to take a basic sky pack, than pay for an aerial install. Now I've used sky, for a cheap dish, I've cancelled and need to return the box that's not really been used. So I just need to get the box returned.

Providing you’ve cancelled successfully the returns packaging is usually sent out near the end of a cancellation period, [31 days for Sky Q and 14 days for broadband], to the address that the account is registered at.

Had an email stating my TV was cancelled. Just trying to get rid od the box now. Is there an address so I can just post it out and get rid?

You can use any packaging as long as it’s secure and you may want to put a note inside with your account number and a list of equipment that is included. This link explains about how to receive an email with your return labels through Royal Mail.

If you haven’t anything suitable contact Sky again and see if they’ll send it earlier. Keep your proof of posting very safe and indefinitely as Unipart, who handle the UK returns, don’t appear to be that well organised. Also, if you use Royal Mail’s collect from home service, keep a record of the tracking number.

I see @Daniel0210 has kindly given the information you need.

I am posting just to say the returns process is not ideal at the best of times, so unless you really need to send it early, personally,  I would not recommend doing it until it is the normal time to do so.

The chances of it not being properly recorded on the system against your account are, I think, high & unless it is correctly logged you might get sent chase ups and reminders & even charged for non return for something you returned early.

We cannot stress enough @Daniel0210 's point about keeping any proof of posting.
