Sky tv box and telephone not working after a house move
I moved house, had it all arranged.
Internet works.
Phone doesn't - message on phone saying "line cord error"
Sky TV box also not working, constantly says "initialising".
No option to connect it to the WiFi.
Help!!

What Sky broadband package have you got and what is the phone connected to? Have you tried connecting it to the socket on the rear of the hub?

Moved myself, no engineer. Phone working based on another reply, old Sky box appears to have had it!

If you've got an old Sky+ box and the previous occupants had Sky Q, the dish won't be compatible with your box, rather than your box giving up the ghost. The initialising message means the box isn't getting a signal from the dish - typical of it being a Sky Q configured dish.

@FriendsFan possibly a local installer may be able to do this for you.

Yes it can, but as @NickNewark posted, not by Sky - they no longer provide engineer support for Sky+ equipment unless you have Sky Protect.
