How do I go about getting a sky Q box. Will sky send me one and I plug in and set up Up at home ?

No: Q almost always requires Sky installer attendance because the LNB on a dish used for Sky+ reception has to be changed for one compatible with Q, while on a communal system the installer checks that there's an adequate signal for Q to function.

Only where there's previously been a Q installation and the same subscriber is returning to Sky after some time without a subscription will Sky courier a box to the address.
