Sky taking money without my knowledge or permission

Sky took money without my permission?

I have no Direct Debit in place since August 2024.

I know I am late paying by 6 days but I always pay within a week, surely they can't just get into my bank to take money without permission knowledge or permission and without a direct debit set up.

Its left me with £10 until next Friday!!

@JimmyB58 If you have a debit card registered on the account then they can use this to take payment.

If this is a regular issue have you thought about changing your payment date?

The contract requires a continuous payment method set up.

Seems like they've used payment details on file.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

You've already agreed to let them take payment via a registered payment methid be it direct debit or debit card on file, this is within the T&C's as noted in other replies.  So yes they can go in and take payment on the Due Date as agreed with them when you signed up to Sky.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.
