Hello. No message received. Just didn't record. 
the culprit might be user error /elderly hubby I am thinking because I have just tried recording something and it worked no problem!

do you think we should always be able to record on this channel .. which hubby seems to have just discovered

Shouldn't be any problem recording on the Sky Mix channel.
