Sky sports blinking

Tv blinks, goes black for 1 second every few minutes while watching sports channels. Have tried resetting all settings on tv and sky q box and replaced hdmi cables and ports but no fix. Anyone else had the issue and fixed it?

Weird. What output resolution is your box set to?

1080i but I tried the other settings. I don't want to go any lower than 1080 when it's an Oled tv

1080p and 2160p both have the same issue?

Yes. 1080, 1080i and 2160 all the same. When you change ports or hdmi cables it works fine for about 10mins then you get the issue every few minutes. I've only noticed it on the sports channels but it definitely doesn't happen of I watched football on tv apps like amazon so it has to be related to sky box

What about BBC1 HD?

It works fine but I have to watch it through sky or iplayer but no issues from I recall. I don't tend to watch it much if I'm using sky

I meant on the Q box anyway. To see if there's a pattern to HD channels playing up.

No I haven't noticed any hd channels other than sports but as I say it's mainly sports I watch. Sky sports news doesn't seem to have the issue

Yeah that's why I'm suggesting you test them properly

seems extremely unlikely it would be a problem isolated to sports channels.

I have an engineer coming out tomorrow to look at it because I have tried anything that I can find to test myself

Does the 'blinking' start after ad-breaks? I have noticed something similar on channels that use Sky AdSmart and I know a few people have posted similar problems recently. Channels that don't use AdSmart like BBC and ITV are never affected.

I have only noticed it in the middle of football matches

Engineer came out and had to replace the box
