yeah it's shocking - thought I'd give it 3 or 4 matches before diving in to moan, but consistently poor quality picture - stuttering, juddering, pausing.... you name it. chats off to sky for managing to get even worse quality than the red button, that's some achievement!

Yep just watching the football and it keeps freezing and really poor picture. With all the hype from Sky you would have thought they would do better.

It's freezing every few seconds, the game on TV is now way behind. I got a notification on my phone of a goal a good minute before it was scored on screen. The minutes showing at the ground is also 3 minutes more than showing on screen. It's anyone's guess how many minutes they've actually played.

Same for me. Constant freezing stuttering for a few seconds then speeding up to catch up. I have Sky Stream and UHD. Those channels never seem to have an issue, will be of higher capacity. It seems to be with whatever app technology Sky use. Red button was the same.

Had a look at some of the Carabao Cup matches tonight and Everton v Doncaster looks horrid - it's washed out and dull. Crystal Palace v Norwich looks better but is way too oversaturated. I know screening so many matches takes a lot of resources but there should at least be some consistency.

Mine is the same ... constant freezing....
300mb fibre, hardwired ethernet so not a WiFi problem ...
Get a grip sky ....
Premier TV provider ?

Today's game Barrow v Derby, 27 Aug 24. Picture keeps freezing/pausing and sound quality is extremely poor and keeps dropping out. Sky really needs to improve it's service. This is unacceptable from such a company.

Mine is the same, really spoils the viewing experience.
On the top 1gb internet with Virgin, but still keeps freezing.
What are you doing to sort this SKY?
when you launch a new service it needs to be right.
It is also about 3 minutes behind realtime too. I get my sky sports notifications on my phone first.

Watching the same game. It's almost unwatchable
27 Aug 2024 08:31 PM
I posted a couple up from this ....
Just a thought, is there a possibility that it's down to the tvs memory running low ?
My TV is about 6 years old so not cutting edge tech

I very much doubt it, my TV is only a year old. LG C1. I think this is a technical issue on sky's end.
27 Aug 2024 08:35 PM
Same buffering and freezing issue with Watford v Plymouth made it unwatchable. Over to Everton v Doncaster. No buffering but commentary is a few seconds behind the play.
Very poor from Sky who will no doubt advise that I connect to my broadband via Ethernet despite me telling them that my tv is connected to 350MB broadband via Ethernet.

It's happening on the tennis streams as well with frequent freezing. It's definitely a sky issue that needs to be fixed asap but it's been like this from day 1 of the sky + launch

I pay for everything apart from Sky Cinema and have 1gb internet and it's just shocking, ended up watching it on IPTV and that was flawless 🙄
Tried it for 5 mins in 2nd half and gave up
It's still Sky Sports + on IPTV and picture is way better

Same thing always happening to mine. Every 10 seconds or so l, pauses for 2 or 3 seconds. Unwatchable. I've given up and started watching the QPR game on my phone as it's that bad. Sort it out Sky. You may be losing a lot of customers if this isn't fixed very, very soon!
