@Kerryb500 @Sarahl2011 Is this Sky broadband or another provider?

Hi @Sarahl2011

@Kerryb500

If you haven't already tried the following sequence exactly as follows then try it.

First reset your broadband router.
If on Sky broadband hold the Reset on the back of the router until the power light flashes green (about 10 seconds). Don't unplug or switch off your router while it resets. The power light will go green when it's done.
If on 3rd party broadband and your router does not have a reset button, reboot it by disconnecting the power lead for 30 secs and then reconnecting.
Wait until the router is completely back and running and then try a Network Reset found in Q box Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to connect by WiFi to your router. Even if reset is not listed there is still an option to connect by WiFi to Sky or 3rd party router
If you are on Sky Broadband you will be asked to press the WPS button on the Sky router. (Not on the Q box as the Network reset will start the main Q box WPS automatically). Make sure you press the WPS button on the Sky router and not the reset button.
if you are on 3rd party (non Sky ) broadband then you need to enter the SSID and password for the router 2.4 Ghz WiFi band.

Re: Sky q unsuccessful connection

If you have Sky Q you get the signal though the dish outside you should have all the Sky channels even though it won't contect to the broadband router.  Al you won't get is the internet stuff like the apps ect. Only if you have Sky glass or Sky stream do you get you channels via router. I have Sky Q and a couple of time it has not connected to WiFi properlybut it still had all my tv channels on my main box. I just the message on the Home Screen that box was not connected to the internet instead of showing all the liutke picture but mini screen was show Sky t. Yes my mini box stoped working but that could have been fixed by a reset there if I could get the main box connected to WiFi but after a network reset it did.

Also bear in mind if your Sky box goes off when it comes back on it take a good couple of minutes to connect to the WiFi and yes insherly you may get the not connected to the internet internet message on the Home Screen but this will usualydated with no normal Home Screen after 5 or 10 minutes
