Sky q switches off

What is going on? Certainly not sky it keeps switching every 15 to 20 mins.

Live tv or recordings makes no differance,

The past few days my sky box will randomly turn programs off and back to menu, but tiday Thursday 15th may, the box j8st keeps randomly turning off and crashing,  it gets re started by switching of the mains each time  but then crashes again after 5-10 minutes this is happening to the main sky q box and the mini sky q boxes

No, they are stored on your box. They will be fine.

This is the first time this has happened to me and it annoyed and upsetting too that's it's happening,hope sky will have a fix for this.

My box keeps turning off and has done since 9pm. Have rebooted numerous times. Sky are no help. Can't watch any tv as they disconnected my  roof Ariel saying you couldn't have both connected with Sky Q. Am really getting fed up. They charge ridiculous amounts for what.

Dear Sky,

With so many of your customers impacted by an obvious outage, will you be offering a blanket reduction to monthly bills for May? 

Your revenue is high and your customers pay huge sums and avoid firesticks to access movies and sport legally. So what will you offer to appease an ill feeling amongst our community? Fair comment?

Update, I got it working now 

I went to settings. Preferences. 

Changed standby to active. 

Changed smart standby mode to OFF 

Its been good for 30 mins

My Sky box has now been on for a whole 30 mins.... !!

Last thing I did was change the HDMI cable but, I suspect it's just a coincidence as Sky services seem to be coming back up.

Looks like everyone is having the same problem tonight frustrating but hopefully it will get sorted soon
