Mine went off last night 4 times between 21.30 and 22.30. Got bored trying to sort it and just watched Love, Death & Robots S4 on Netflix instead.
Tried again today and my main box and 3 minis are working fine, but.....
My father in law had the same issue. So this morning I went round and unplugged and rebooted main box, and his router just to be safe. Main box came back fine, but none of his 3 minis would connect! I Tried for about an hour, they would not connect to main box or router. I had to give up in the end as had somewhere to be. Hopefully they will come back to life themselves, or they will have to get an engineer round to sort it out for them?
The amount of my life I have wasted with Sky Q and their mesh network is beyond a joke! When it works it's great, the TV side is really good. But the mesh network is extraordinarily poor.

Just seen it now on the news but the news says SKY have so far not commented on the outage. Pity Sky didn't admit anything as I hadn't a clue until today when I logged into Sky Community if it was Sky Q or Netflix that was the problem as I was watching Netflix via Sky. A quick admission then people wouldn't waste their time contacting Netflix, Prime, etc and trying all the "fixes" which clearly either won't work or just be a temporary fix to a major issue.

I've tried rebooting for most of the day, can access all channels apart from cinema and Atlantic- they were coming up with no signal, technical issue and if they did come on, they were blocky and then went on and off
i got through to sky and they've booked an engineer to come out on Tuesday and have said I'll be compensated from today until the issue is fixed

Your TVs should be working ok it's the Sky boxes that have the problem. Most modern TVs have Freeview which is working fine for free to air channels as it uses a regular aerial. Problem is lots of people had their rooftop aerials removed in the past rather than leaving them up for times like these.

My Sky Q box just had a software download and install done, hopefully it's the fix we've been wanting.

Re: Sky went down on the 15th May and will not come back on again.

I hope that your Dad is back on line soon. It's not fair there should at least have been a help email from Sky!
There is no software update, all that doing that does is forces the Sky box to power off & on again, the software version stays the same

This has happened to me 4 times in the last 18 hours. (SKY Q main box switching off suddenly) 3 times yesterday evening so gave up and went to bed.
Just switched telly on today (circa 5.45pm) and it crashed within a minute.
Really getting fed up with this. Have followed SKY instructions to switch off and reboot, but still happening clearly....
Not a happy man...

Same issue here. Box keeps locking up giving a no signal error, or not allowing itself to be turned on. Started happening yesterday. So far I've seen it happen 3 times.

Since I can't seem to edit my post, I'll add I have powered off the box for more than 30 seconds today, but it still crashed again a bit after, to which I had to repeat the power off again.

This is the problem. In my case, power off at mains, worked only to get sky running again but it did it again. Software update after restart, but it did it again. The "tricks" do not work and won't do permantely as the issue is clearly at Sky's end.

issue started about 9pm last night, hung 3 times in an hour so gave and went to bed
screen goes blank, box goes into standby, unable to restart with remote until box is shutdown and hard rebooted
box rebooted, viewing card reseated (out, cleaned and put back in) no change, turned tv on at 4pm, within our had crashed again
box seems to crash most when command sent to box via remote, various buttons, (volume, channel change etc)
box is hard wired to a 500mbit non sky fibre broadband, and no issues on broadband before sky try suggesting that
so regardless of what @Sky are saying the issue is not fixed as of less than an hour ago

Nearly 24 hours with no satellite signal
After the issues from yesterday, I'm still without access to view sky. I have gone through all the troubleshooting processes but they haven't worked.
i called Sky & spent over an hour waiting for them to answer. When they finally answered, the call lasted maybe 15 seconds before the agent put the phone down. And before you say it, I hadn't been abusive at all. It seemed like an accident on her part.
Skys automated process offered me an engineer visit, but the earliest was 4 days away, which is totally unacceptable. This is not an issue of my making & I shouldn't have to pay for my service, that I pay a small fortune for each month, to be switched back on.
The messaging service is meant to be open until 7:30 pm but, having attempted to message Sky, I find it been switched off. The time is just after 6:30pm as I type this!!
This is the second time within a month this has happened, albeit this time it's way worse. But my biggest complaint is that customers have to do all the leg work, pay for engineers & miss out on live programming (such as sport that's on tonight) because the sky service is so poor.
If you didn't know already, Im totally fed up right now.

I have turned off power from the mains and even unplugged my main Sky Q, I have done the same with my Mini boxes but still isn’t working. I have done this multiple last night and today and still nothing.
I have been on hold to the Sky customer service over the phone for over 1hr 30min and still have not got through.
This is getting beyond a joke now.
