Sky Q Completely Down UK

Since about 10pm 15th May 2025, my Sky Q is completely not working, just a big blue screen with a QR code (useless), stating "There has been a problem finding your Sky Q box on the network" ERROR:MR104 at the bottom of the screen.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with my internet, it's fully working with Full Speed Fibre.

Rebooted my main sky box but still no luck.

Is there a known issue ?

Re: Sky q switches off - 15/05

I went downstairs and pulled the plug on the main Sky Q box and it's came on again and my sky Q mini in the bedroom is now working, but that's what I did a few hours ago and it went bonkers again.

I'll wait and see if I stay connected this time.

Sky Q keeps powering off

Since about 8pm last night (15 May) the sky q box keeps powering off. Green light still on but nothing happens and get it to come back on.
I did a reboot (half a dozen times), it comes back on for 5-10 minutes then does the same thing...been happening all night !!
The MySky App isn't working either

Whats going on Sky...you need to communicate better, I pay a hell of a lot money for your service and I ain't getting any !!! 🤬

Re: Tele gone off!

Ours done this twice within half hour at almost same time, screen just goes blank plus when I go on my accou t tells me checks on signal are unavailable. I reset twice both times unplugging and fixed. Second time left until this morning but still says unable check although for now I do have access for how long I'm unsure,

Re: Sky q switches off - 15/05

Likewise, we've had the same issue since 10pm last night with our SkyQ box despite resetting it numerous times. Seems a complete outage for thousands.  So frustrating..
Getting so fed up with Sky. We've had constant issues and I dread even contacting CS nowadays. Been a Sky (in one variation or another) customer since 1992. Got lured then as the only place to watch The Simpsons.
For the past two months, SkyQ box regularly doesn't allow me to pause, rewind etc a live program. If I reset it (plug out, wait 30secs..) it works once, then stops working again immediately. Recordings also fail constantly, due to a "Technical Fault". When I first became aware of the issues tonight, my first thought was the box had finally failed. Have had it for 9 years. So glad I didn't try the hard drive reset like I was tempted.
Have also had to deal with technical faults with channels, no signal, and recordings that are unwatchable, on and off for four years. Our dish is located about 10ft up on the side of our house, with another house just feet away, but about five houses away on council land there is a huge, tall tree. As soon as we get a little wind, we constantly lose our signal. Due to this, both of our neighbours have had their dishes moved by Sky to the front of their properties and above their second floor for height and this sorted all their signal issues. In 2023, after lengthy calls to Sky CS explaining our dish needed relocating due to the tree possibly affecting the signal and explaining to them that I'd spoken to the council and they were firm that they now only trim trees when it's a safety issue and they will not be trimming this tree as they no longer have funds in their budgets to do this, I finally got a date for an engineer visit with the appropriate means to reach above our second floor (Georgian House with basement, so much higher than it sounds) and below the roof line to relocate the dish. Two engineers showed up and I could immediately tell from the attitude of one of them (who seemed to be in charge) when I showed him where it needed to be moved to that it wasn't going to go well. He insisted that it didn't need to be moved and I need to get that tree cut. I tried to firm (& polite!) that it definitely had to be moved as there was no chance the council was cutting the tree and it was crazy to even suggest that I just had to get it done when it's on Council land. He ignored me completely and left the dish in the same position but moved it half a metre higher. He did show me that some of the channels were indeed working better, but I questioned how long it would last as the tree grew. By this time, I was so fed up with him and his rudeness that I just wanted him to go. Later that evening, I noticed that a few of the news channels were now not working at all. Another call to Sky CS for another engineer visit, and I logged a complaint about the engineer and his refusal to relocate the dish as agreed with Sky. That same engineer showed up 10 days later and was rudely accusing me of tampering with the dish after he left and that's why some channels were not working. He still spitefully refused to relocate the dish and only reposited it slightly, but all the channels were now working fine and I just wanted him to go as it was just too stressful. Come late summer 2024, guess what.. all the same signal issues started again. When winds were only slightly higher, it was impossible to watch or record anything on Sky. Been putting up with this for the past year. Just dread the thought of calling Sky and going through this again. Last time, they also tried to push Sky Glass on me and I told them firmly I wasn't interested in switching. Know it's stupid not to address as paying so much for Sky but think I would have a breakdown if the same engineer showed up again.. End of long rant, but I think I have to face up to it very soon as likely my box may also need replacing.
Hopefully, Sky sort out this major outage once they start work proper today.. that is, as long as the engineer they sent me twice isn't involved..
